The first few vehicles in the Maserati Folgore lineup are set to debut in 2023. Folgore is Italian for lightning, which is an accurate descriptor of the first few vehicles set to roll out in 2023. The first Maserati electric car, The GranTurismo Folgore coupe, is set to debut in 2023. This Maserati EV will allegedly have 1200+ horsepower and will be able to reach 62mph in less than 3.0 seconds.
Also set to debut in 2023 with the GranTurismo Folgore will be an EV version of the Grecale, the first Maserati electric SUV, and the convertible GranCabrio. Electric versions of the MC20 sports car, Levante SUV, and Quattroporte sedan are set to hit Winter Park roads and everywhere else by 2025.
By 2025, Maserati plans to offer electric versions of each model. Just like many other automakers, Maserati has announced its plan to go completely electric by 2023 and to eliminate all vehicles with internal combustion engines. The luxury automaker has also confirmed that it will enter the electric car version of Formula 1 racing–Formula E racing, in 2023.
